KATHMANDU, NOV 20 - President Dr Ram Baran Yadav and Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal met on Friday and discussed the current political situation.
During the meeting, the President expressed concern over the delay in endorsing the budget and its effect.
Fiscal budget of the year 2066/67 (i.e. 2009/10) has not been approved by the parliament yet due to the Maoists’ obstruction.

According to the Prime Minister's press advisor Bishnu Rijal, the meeting held at President's office in Shital Niwas discussed the ongoing political deadlock and the delay in budget approval.

The President also expressed concern over the measures taken to sort out the issue.

Also on the occasion, Minister for Finance Surendra Pandey informed the President about difficulties in releasing government salaries to the cabinet minister, lawmakers, and civil servants.
